On 18th November 2025, the lab's first PhD student, Lauren Davies, successfully defended her thesis. Lauren gave a fantastic research seminar, and also excelled in the subsequent viva exam with Eileen Parkes and Sarah McClelland . We celebrated with champagne and snacks before moving on to the pub for some more celebrations. Lauren will stay in the lab for a few months, in order to finalise her story and to get it ready for publication. Congrats, Lauren!
