Welcome to the lab, Lauren Davies!

Beginning of October brought the much-anticipated arrival of our first PhD student, Lauren Davies. Lauren did her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Queen Mary University of London. She then went to Imperial College London, where she worked as part of Professor Sibylle Mittnacht’s team at the UCL Cancer Institute looking at PARP inhibition in RB1 defective osteosarcoma. In our lab, Lauren will investigate how innate immune activation by self-DNA is mediated after DNA damage. To celebrate her arrival, the lab went out to get Vietnamese food.
