First annual Mansfeld/Zierhut workshop held at Redfield Centre

At the end of October, the lab went to the Redfield Centre in Buckinghamshire for our first annual workshop with our great friends from Jörg Mansfeld's lab. Special guests were Alexis Barr from Imperial College, and Philippe Collin from Astra Zeneca. Over the course of two days we discussed innate immunity, cell cycle control, post-translational modifications, imaging techniques and CRISPR techniques. We also found time to cook (and eat) delicious food (Christian quickly regretted his initial doubts about the nature of fig salad), go for a short hike, and discover Alexis's incredible talent to sing almost any song at moment's notice. We look forward to hopefully repeating this experience next year!
