Welcome to the lab, Odysseus Grünert!

In October 2022, Odysseus Grünert joined us from the University of Vienna to carry out thesis work for his MSc Molecular Medicine degree. He is part of the very last group of Erasmus students to arrive in the UK before the unfortunate exit of the UK from this programme. Odysseus previously worked on microsatellite instability and its interaction with DNA repair machineries, which he investigated as part of his batchelor's thesis. In our lab, Odysseus will work with Federico Tidu, and develop methods for investigating innate immune responses in organoid models of cancer.
